How does Shakespeare use metaphors to show romeos inner thoughts in act 1 scene 4 in Romeo and Juliet.

“…my mind misgives some consequence yet hanging in the stars…” Reference to heaven [in the stars.] god and fate.

In Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare uses a range of metaphors to express the thoughts in characters minds. In act 1 scene 4 there is an example of this when Shakespeare uses a metaphors to communicate what Romeo was thinking about his previous bad dream that could leave to his “untimely fate.”

In scene 4 romeo says “…For my minds misgives some consequences yet hanging in the stars…” this metaphors references heaven and fate. This is shown by Shakespeare using phrases like hanging in the stars, meaning heaven, misgives meaning warns and yet being the end. ‘My mind warns me of a ending in heaven.’  Shakespeare is showing that Romeo is allowing god to plan his life route and end it when He wants.
